Are you looking for a stationary reader for your fleet's tachograph data? The VDO SmartTerminal is the optimal solution for the central reading and storage of driver and vehicle data. This practical terminal of the latest generation can be conveniently mounted in a central location.

All 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation driver, workshop and company cards can be read with the VDO SmartTerminal. In addition, it has been specially developed for the requirements of the new smart tachograph and is therefore suitable for the DTCO 4.1. You only need to perform a software update for that, which you can find here.

The VDO SmartTerminal helps you comply with the legal requirements for downloading and storing tachograph data according to the EU Mobility Package I. With an internal memory of 32 GB, the terminal has an almost unlimited capacity. The stored data can be easily transferred to a PC via a network (LAN/WiFi) or USB. You also have the option to upload the data directly to the Fleet Cloud VDO for use with the archiving service in VDO Fleet Tachograph Management*, or to store it on an SFTP server.

An important additional feature: the VDO SmartTerminal also supports you in checking driving licenses. Thanks to the integrated RFID card reader, all you have to do is hold a driver's license with a personalized RFID tag in front of the terminal. The system securely stores the information and it can then be viewed and analysed for all drivers in the additional VDO Fleet Tachograph Management* service. Using the integrated USB ports in the SmartTerminal, the VDO Downloadkeys can also be read out via this stationary terminal and transferred directly to the backend.
