VDO Webshop deliveries and delivery times:

Deliveries from the central VDO warehouse:

VDO Webshop contains more than 3000 VDO articles for transport and automotive. These sensors, instruments and parts are not consumer products, but products for professional use. Compared to consumer products, VDO Webshop items therefore have a much lower turnover rate, resulting in longer delivery times than you are used to from consumer products.

As an official AUMOVIO, VDO distributor, we also use the stock of automotive and industrial products in the European AUMOVIO VDO warehouse in Germany and the Czech Republic, just like the other EU distributors. Of course, VDO Webshop also has a considerable stock of about 2000 VDO parts locally.

For approximately 95% of the orders we are able to deliver them in the Netherlands within 5 working days. For Belgium, this is an average of 7 working days. In about 5% of the orders, the items are not in stock in the German or Czech EU warehouses and significantly longer delivery times can occur. Do you need a part tomorrow or next week? Please inquire about the delivery time first.

We do our best to keep you informed of deviating delivery times and/or to select an alternative product in consultation with you that is available quickly.

Partial deliveries of orders consisting of several items are only possible in exceptional cases in consultation due to the additional transport costs.

If you are a Dutch or Belgian consumer, and the delivery time is longer than 30 days, you have the right to cancel your order free of charge according to the consumer terms and conditions.

Logistics within the Netherlands, Belgium and the other EU countries:

For the Netherlands and Belgium, you can choose PostNL or DHL for sending your package. As soon as a package is registered for shipment, you will receive a notification via e-mail.

As soon as PostNL or DHL has received the package, you will receive an e-mail with the track and trace code to track your package. Usually your package will be delivered the next working day. For Belgium it takes about 2 working days. The same applies to most other EU countries.

If your package is seriously damaged, we ask you to refuse the package and to inform us immediately by sending an e-mail to: logistics@vdo-webshop.nl.

Logistics outside the EU countries:

Deliveries outside the EU are exempt from taxes such as VAT. For shipments outside the EU, we use PostNL as standard. The transit times per country are available on the PostNL website. Please also take into account that the local customs procedure can take a lot of time.

For urgent shipments, we use DHL Express or UPS Express on request. This involves high costs.

Service costs:

Service charges apply, among other things, to products that need to be programmed to customer specification before they can be put into use. This includes, but is not limited to, CANBUS Instruments, Tachometers, Speedometers, Multifunction displays. These costs are calculated on the basis of an hourly rate of 70 Euro per hour excluding VAT. Including 21% VAT, the rate is 84.70 per hour.

The PostNL e-mail contains a link to your unique Track and Trace code. If you click on this link, you can track your order on the PostNL website. Not present at first delivery attempt:

The PostNL delivery person leaves a message with a 'non-present code'. With this code you can choose a new delivery time yourself. This is possible until 22:00. If you do nothing, PostNL will visit you again on the next delivery day (Monday to Saturday).

Not present at second delivery attempt:

Even then, the delivery person will leave a message with you. This will tell you where you can pick up your package. This information can be found on the Track & Trace link that has been sent to you.

Deliveries outside the Netherlands but within the EU:

Deliveries by DHL:

DHL does not make a second delivery attempt on the same day. DHL may, if necessary, make a second attempt on the next business day and a third on the following business day.

Shipping cost calculation:

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an estimate of the costs in advance. Once you've finished picking out your order, you'll get a clear overview of the shipping options and costs that apply to your order during the checkout process before you have to pay. Do you disagree with these costs? Then you can easily cancel the order by closing your browser tab.

For international corporate clients, we also offer the incoterm EXW. This shipping method means that the customer arranges the shipping at their own responsibility and expense. In those cases, we do not charge shipping costs.
