This interface is designed for vehicles that are not subject to tachograph obligation and replaces the MTCO 1324 or DTCO 1381. It allows information to be sent from the KITAS generator to the vehicle's CAN bus.
Modern commercial vehicles are often equipped with the DTCO 1381 or MTCO 1324 tachograph, which calculates the speed via the intelligent motion sensor KITAS and transmits the information via CAN bus to an instrument panel. If it is not mandatory to use the tachograph, for example when exporting, it is possible to use the simple tachometer simulator TSU 1391 instead of the DTCO 1381 or MTCO 1324.
As for the vehicle's electrical system, the TSU 1391 works in the same way as the MTCO 1324 and regulates all the necessary data for a correct display of speed, power and time. This allows the vehicle's electrical system to be completed cost-efficiently. Alternatively, the TSU 1391 works together with the modern intelligent motion sensor or the conventional KITAS sensor such as type 2159.
Through the test and programming interface, it is possible to program specific values, such as size, time and instructions from the manufacturer. The internal operating time (Real Time Clock RTC) is powered by a battery and can be changed by the driver using two buttons on the front panel. To control peripherals, the well-known electrical outputs such as v-pulse and 4 puls/m are continuously available.
